I started my insurance career with the Koetje Agency, Inc. as an Insurance Producer focusing on all types of Personal and Commercial insurance sales and servicing. In 1992, Mike Sullivan and I officially purchased the Agency. I was designated President and Mike is the Secretary/Treasurer. In 1995, I became the overall Insurance Agency Manager. I oversee all of the various operating functions of our growing insurance agency.

Although the job is challenging, I enjoy watching the hard work be fruitful. My main hobby is Fly Fishing. My wife and I have two grown children and are new grandparents.

After graduation from Coupeville High School in 1974, my career in the insurance business began as a Customer Service Representative for an independent agency in Coupeville, WA. In 1988 I accepted my current position as a Insurance Account Executive for Koetje Agency. In this position, I write all lines of insurance; business bonds, personal and commercial auto, home , life, health, boat and recreational vehicles. During my career I attained the Accredited Customer Service Representative (ACSR) and Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) designations. Both involved extensive study of insurance contracts and require ongoing education commitments to maintain the designations.

I've been in the insurance industry for eight years, six of which have been with Koetje Agency, Inc. I started my career as a receptionist and worked my way up to Sales Agent. I've obtained my CISR (Certified Insurance Service Representative) designation and am working on my CIC (Certified Insurance Counselor) designation. The best aspect of my career is providing customers "peace of mind" knowing that if tragedy should strike, they will have a crutch to fall on. While writing some Commercial Lines coverage, I specialize in Personal Lines such as; home, rental home, auto, motorcycle, recreational vehicles, and umbrella policies.

I am a native to beautiful Whidbey Island, living my entire life, minus two years, here. I spent those years working at one of the largest Personal Lines Insurance agencies in Southern California. When not working, I enjoy spending time with friends and family, traveling, camping and supporting my husband's softball team.

I started my insurance career with Koetje Agency, Inc., in 1977 as a Customer Service Representative for both Personal and Commercial insurance. With the growth of our agency we eventually split into two Divisions: Personal and Commercial insurance; and I was designated the Commercial Insurance Manager. Along with that position, I also do Accounting and Human Resources. Although my job keeps me very busy, I do find time for my favorite hobby---being with my 7 grandchildren.

I started in the insurance business in 1978 as a part-time file clerk working in the School-Work Co-op program and quickly moved up to a full-time Customer Service Representative and Personal lines Licensed Agent. I have worked in five states as a Customer Service Representative and Personal Lines Licensed Agent. I have worked in the State of Washington for almost nine years in the Personal Lines field. I enjoy camping, fishing, site-seeing in our beautiful area and spending quality time with my daughters and grandchildren.

I started my insurance career with Koetje Agency, Inc., in July of 2008 supporting the personal lines Customer Service Representatives. I have since taken my exam and become a licensed agent.

I was a Ground Radar Technician in the U.S. Air Force from 2004 to 2008 and most of my career was spent in Oklahoma City. Running, music, swimming, and movies are a few of my hobbies. My goal is to keep learning and continue to work hard with this motivated crew.
